WHAT: The Sixth Annual Maryland Parent Involvement Matters Awards (PIMA) event will honor 24 local winners in a special awards presentation. Awards will also be presented to the top five finalists and, in a surprise announcement, one overall State winner.
The Maryland PIMA program is the only statewide program of its kind in the nation. Developed by the Maryland State Department of Education, the awards program recognizes parents and guardians for their exceptional work in support of Maryland public education. The awards program received scores of nominees from across the State, each of whom demonstrated significant, positive impact on public education in their communities.
