'Read Across Maryland' Celebration Continues

WHAT:          Dr. Lowery will be reading to children as part of the annual “Read Across Maryland” celebration.  The Maryland State Department of Education, MSDE’s Division of Library Development and Services, and MSDE’s Division of Curriculum, Assessment and Accountability have joined with the Governor’s Office to celebrate this annual event throughout March.  The event highlights the importance of reading by setting aside thirty minutes a day to read.  With the slogan, “Thirty Minutes for Thirty Days,” students and library customers alike are encouraged to download a Read Across Maryland reading log, record their progress for the month, and upload the log to the Read Across Maryland website (http://www.readacrossmaryland.org).
