Interim Maryland State Superintendent of Schools Jack R. Smith will celebrate the success of one the State’s top schools on Wednesday, as the annual Blue Ribbon Tour of Excellence makes a stop at Arnold Elementary School in Anne Arundel County. 

Arnold Elementary is one of six Maryland Blue Ribbon Schools selected late last year. An arts integration school, it emphasizes strategies to develop critical and inquiry thinking along with knowledge of art standards.  Arnold also is recognized for very high overall math and reading proficiency during the past MSA administration.
