Dr. Lowery will take part in the May meeting of the State Board.
6 p.m. - Intent Night, Pocomoke High School

Dr. Lowery will be the guest speaker at this event celebrating graduates at the school.
Wednesday, May 20
9 a.m. - 11th Annual Maryland ELL Family Involvement Network Conference

Dr. Lowery will provide greetings for the MELLFIN Conference, “Collaborative Journeys: Toward Global Competence.” Keynoting the conference is journalist Sonia Nazario, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of “Enrique’s Journey.”
4:30 p.m. - Cherry Hill Community Forum

Dr. Lowery will discuss urban education during a community meeting in Baltimore’s Cherry Hill neighborhood.
Thursday, May 21
9 a.m. - Blue Ribbon School Visit, Fountain Green Elementary School

Dr. Lowery will take part in a program honoring one of Maryland’s newest Blue Ribbon schools.
7 p.m. - Prince George’s Community College Commencement, Show Place Arena,
14900 Pennsylvania Avenue, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772
Dr. Lowery will give the commencement address to this year’s graduates and will receive an honorary degree from the college.
Friday, May 22
