State Superintendent of Schools Lillian Lowery will keynote the Saturday General Session of this weekend’s Maryland PTA Convention.

Dr. Lowery and the Maryland PTA have been strong partners throughout her tenure in the State.  She will use the convention address to spotlight the importance of strong parental involvement as the State’s schools continue to make the transition to college and career ready standards.

This is the Maryland PTA’s 99th Annual Convention.  The organization will celebrate its 100th anniversary on February 18, 2015.
