Leadership Maryland Regional Breakfast Forum
WHY: Dr. Lowery and Ms. Weller will discuss the latest Maryland education initiatives, including the Common Core State Standards, new assessments being developed based on the standards, and Teacher-Principal Evaluation. The new initiatives are designed to provide more accurate and dependable tools for teachers to diagnose and support the efforts of students, while strengthening professional development, feedback, and effectiveness for educators. Dr. Lowery and Ms. Weller will discuss the impact of these reforms on educators, students, parents, and the public, as well as how they are working together to ensure statewide success. The event is sponsored by Leadership Maryland, a statewide leadership development program.
