Monday, December 1 and Tuesday, December 2
No public schedule.

Wednesday, December 3
10 a.m. – Grand Opening: Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Early Childhood Center,
Commodore John Rodgers Elementary School, 100 N. Chester Street, Baltimore, MD 21231
Dr. Lowery will speak at the opening of this important center, designed to help prepare students for kindergarten entry.  The Early Childhood Center was created by the Living Classrooms Foundation, and involves a partnership with the Judy Center, YMCA, and Southeastern Early Head Start operated by the Kennedy Krieger Institute.

3:30 p.m. – Governor’s Workforce Investment Board,
Anne Arundel Community College, Cade Center, Room 219, 101 College Parkway, Arnold, MD 21012
Dr. Lowery will participate in the regular GWIB meeting.

Thursday, December 4
8:30 a.m. - Interagency Committee of School Construction,
Maryland State Department of Education,
Conference Room 1, 8th Floor, 200 W. Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21201
Dr. Lowery will participate in the regular IAC meeting.

Friday, December 5
No public schedule.

Saturday, December 6
Touchstones Teacher and Volunteer Celebration,
St. John’s College, The Great Hall, 60 College Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21401
Dr. Lowery will address the educators and volunteers being honored, as well as share her thoughts and plans regarding Maryland’s public education system.
