Nancy Harrington, Second Grade Teacher
Worton Elementary School, Kent County
Nancy was born, raised, and educated in the public school system in Freehold, New Jersey. She attended West Virginia Wesleyan College and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. She accepted a teaching position with the Kent County Public School System in 1972. Since then she has taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. Her favorite grade is second though. The children are so excited and motivated to learn and fun to work with. Nancy is her school's liaison for the Professional Development School partnership. She is also a mentor teacher for WC interns. It is such a pleasure for her to encourage, guide, and inspire future colleagues.
